"The ultimate disco party"
Disco. That word alone sends chills down my spine and puts a smile on my face. This is the most fun of all the teen party themes!
We all love a disco party!
What is disco...well, some people thought it was about discovering yourself and the true meaning of the dance floor.
No, I am not kidding!
But, they were the serious disco kings and queens.
For most of us, a night of a disco was about the ball spinning and the music so loud you lost your hearing for a day or two, and of course, DANCING!
Okay, so maybe you don't...but your parents do!
You know, it's okay to admit it! Do you remember the 1970's and the disco craze?
If your teen wants a totally rockin party, then the disco party is a must do!

What you need at a glance:
Your front door entrance should set the theme.
You can do this by having a cut out of John Travolta from Saturday Night Fever to welcome your guests. You might want to take pictures of each guest with John as they come in, and give them out as party favors at the end of the night.
Your party room
Set it up with one large disco ball or many small ones hanging from the ceiling. At your doorway you can hang a beaded curtain, and have some lava lamps around. Be sure to have room for dancing!
And most importantly...the party music should be playing and the atmosphere should be just right!
For a great party you will have to serve up some of the tasty foods for parties you remember from the seventies!
Here are some popular foods and drinks from the seventies!
Don't forget to put some candy around to nibble...To really go back in time, get all the great 70's candy.
A buffet is the easiest way to feed teens. Put out chips and anything that can be served at room temperature and then add hot foods when everyone need a break from dancing.
1970's most popular candy
You may not even need or want to do any of these activities, but if the disco fever dies down, you may need a little something to keep the teenagers from coming up with other ideas!
Disco music in the seventies was pretty crazy...
Do you remember...

These can be fun and inexpensive and add some fierce competition to the party!
